The Five Biggest Health Benefits of "health" Foods!

Benefits of Organic Foods.

First let me tell you about what exactly "health" foods are. Simply put they are foods with very little or no processing. This includes fruits, vegetables, fresh seafood, eggs, low-fat dairy, beans, and the list goes on and on.

1.Amino Acids

and

2.Antioxidants

"Health" foods are extremely high in antioxidants, which are nutrients that help our body fight free radicals. Antioxidants are perhaps the biggest benfits of "health" foods. Antioxidants help fight aging, and prevent damage causing free radicals which simply put, destroy our bodies.Amino acids are neccesary for anyone who wish's to continue life. As you probably remember from your first year biology course, amino acids are the building blocks of all life. They are the fuel of most of the metabolic process. Health foods are smash packed with amino acids and Antioxidants.

3.Protein

Proteins are also a huge benefit of "health" foods. Protein is an essential part of muscles, but it is also required for the entire body. Protein helps cells to "bulk up", or get bigger, and store more energy. This helps with your stamina, strength. Have you heard of protein shakes? These simply put as much protein in a shake to help encourage your muscles to grow. DON'T overeat your proteins. Recently a study by Duke University found that eating too much protein resulted in calcium loss. This can lead to osteoperosis.

4.Vitamins

Everyone knows about vitamins and how they are used for so many processes in the body, right? Wrong, well maybe they do. However, it has been hinted at that if you eat more than is reccomended, you will be less susceptible to disease, and may even increase your lifespan. "Health" foods are usually packed with vitamins, and remember you can never overdo Vitamins.

5.Xanthones

Xanadu?.... No not an 80's song, Xanthones are particles that have shown promise in the treatment of cancer. They are found extremely abundantly in the mangosteen, a fruit believed to have originated in the Sunda Islands. Xanthones are also found in  many whole foods. Would you believe that we used them in pesticides? That is because too many xanthones can be harmful to our bodies. They, like antioxidants, help fight free radicals. However much less is known about xanthones than antioxidants.
