By this I mean write what you think about, what you feel you know that others could benefit from. This is a simple way to draw traffic with what you write. If you think that the topic you are writing about is stupid, then find another one to do and do it.

Now however I use them very frequently in my blogging. An HTML tag is what GOOGLE's bots, which is how GOOGLE indexes sites, look for when indexing sites. 3.Give People A Reason To Come Back.
If you want your blog to be read, then you must give people a reason to come back. This is a great reason to put more of yourself into your blog posts. By putting your personality into your blog, you create a connection with other people. When you create a connection, people are more likely to keep reading your blog. A great way to put your personality into the blog is to try to make the blog a conversation. When a conversation is started people are likely to want to finish that conversation.
4. Do Only What You Have To And You Will Succeed
By this I don't mean become an underachiever. I simply mean that there are many things that you can do to your blog that aren't necessary, nor do they help your blog grow. The biggest thing you can do is pour yourself into your posts. This will help you achieve not only a bigger audience, but a better sense of satisfaction. Don't get bogged down with aesthetically pleasing your audience, and then writing fluff.
5. Advertise
Go tell your friends, use Facebook and Twitter. NO, don't pay sites to give you backlinks, this can't be good. Instead tell your friends to tell friends to tell friends about your blog. This will increase how much your blog is seen, which will in turn, increase the size and diversity of your audience.
